AP TET 2018 ELIGIBILITY, SYLLABUS, PATTERN, WEIGHTAGE, APPLICABILITY, ONLINE, G.O.91 COMPLETE INFO

School Education - Guidelines for conducting Andhra Pradesh State Teacher Eligibility Test (AP-TET) under the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act (RTE), 2009 - Orders - Issued.

        As per NCTE guidelines para (1) clearance of TET is mandatory for all those aspiring to be Teachers in Private or Government Managed Schools this is to ensure National Standards and benchmark of Teacher quality in the recruitment process.

ELIGIBILITY:

The candidates at the time of applying for AP-TET should be in possession of the following minimum qualifications prescribed for category of I to V classes (Paper - I) and VI to VIII classes (Paper - II) separately.

QUALIFICATION FOR TET PAPER - I:


Intermediate with at least 50% marks, SC, ST, BC, Differnetly Abled candidates 45%, AND
2 Year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) / 2 Year Diploma in Education (Special Educaiton)

QUALIFICATION FOR TET PAPER - II:


BA/BSC/BCOM with 50% marks SC/ST/BC with 45% marks AND
BEd / BEd (Special Education), 4 years B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed/Language Pandit Training Certificate/ etc.,

STRUCTURE AND CONTENT OF TET:


PAPER - I:


Duration: 2hours and 30 min.

CONTENT:

Child Development and Pedagogy: 30 Q - 30 M
Language:30 Q - 30 M
Language II English:30 Q - 30 M
Mathematics:30 Q - 30 M
Environmental Studies:30 Q - 30 M
Total: 150 Q - 150 M.

PAPER - II:


Duration: 2hours and 30 min.

CONTENT:

Child Development and Padagogy:30 Q - 30 M
Language I: 30 Q - 30 M
Language II English: 30 Q - 30 M
For Mathematics & Science Teachers: 60Q - 60M
For Social Studies Teachers: 60Q - 60M

QUALIFYING MARKS:

General:  60% and above
BC: 50% above
SC/ST/Differntly abled & Ex-Servicemen: 40% and above

WEIGHTAGE OF TET SCORES IN THE TEACHER RECRUITMENT OF THE STATE:

A 20% Weightage to TET scores shall be provided in the TRT.

COMPUTER BASED TEST (CBT):

In order to bring in utmost transparency and accuracy in the conduct of examinations, it is decided to conduct Computer Based Test (C-TET).

PROCESS INVOLVED IN COMPUTER BASED TEST (CBT) :

1. The agency identified by the CSE shall design, develop and host the web based secured application form for Department and accept applications.
2. Integration with Payment Gateway for online fee payment.
3. Creating Login ID and Password for candidate.
4. Test Centers should be identified by the agency and should meet rigorous compliance process. The Test Centers should also be completely secured & sanitized to prevent any malpractices.
